Our School

Julia Green School for Thought and Thoughtfulness has a great reputation in the community as an outstanding elementary school. The teaching staff is highly trained and experienced in the teaching profession. Through collaborative planning, we continue to grow personally and professionally. Our area specialists excel in their abilities to instruct in art, music, physical education, resource, library skills, and science. We place strong emphasis on reading, writing, and math. Our schools safety and school climate are essential in our success story.

We are a Participatory Leadership School and we follow the “Character Counts” guidelines. Our hour of planning each day provides us many opportunities to share ideas to better meet the needs of our students. We have ten 21st century classrooms and four Schools for Thought trained teachers. We value the technology training and project-based learning/problem solving, questioning techniques.

Our parental involvement and support are phenomenal and vital to the success of our school. The PTA meets monthly and parents serve on each school committee. The teachers, parents, and members of the community join hands to support our most important natural resource, our children.
